How do I clean my Carly Wright jewelry?
The enamel can be cleaned with dish soap and a toothbrush. You can brighten the silver with toothpaste using a circular motion.
Is it possible to replace a single lost earring?
Yes, I can usually do that! The cost is 50% of a whole pair, plus a $10. special order charge. If a new mold needs to be made, (this only applies to styles from long ago), this will add an extra $25. to the cost. You can send the single back to me or take a photo in natural light on a neutral background and email it to me at cb.carly@gmail.com.
Do you do custom orders?
Yes! To cover the extra time of discussing a unique colorway and/or sending photos back and forth for approval, there will be a charge of $15-$40. for custom orders. Generally, custom orders are not eligible for return or exchange.
Do you sell gift certificates?
Yes! You can purchase gift cards under the “Shop” menu.
What is your return policy?
You may exchange pieces that have been purchased for another piece of similar value that is in stock. Store credit will be issued for any difference in the price. Items purchased on sale are not returnable.
Can I hurt the enamel if I wear it in the shower or pool?
No, it is very durable and vitreous in nature, like the glaze on a piece of pottery.
What metal are the ear wires and ear posts made of?
The ear wires are sterling silver that has been oxidized to match the piece. The earring posts are surgical steel. I can do a pair with white gold posts or wires on request.
Are the chains that you use made of sterling silver?
Yes, they are oxidized to match the piece.
Why is the enamel not shiny?
I etch the enamel with an acid to matte the finish.
Do you teach the art of enameling?
Not currently, but I am considering having some small classes in my studio. Let me know if you are interested!
Can I get a particular style in a different color palette than the pair shown on the website?
Yes! I make all of the production pieces in 6-8 different color ways.
How can I find out what is on sale?
I regularly post closeout items on the “Sale” page , but it is always a good idea to get on my mailing list, That way you won’t miss any bargains! Also check in at my Facebook business page.
Can the pins be worn as pendants?
Yes, most of them can. I sell pendant converters for this purpose. For a more permanent solution, it is also possible to solder a loop on the back of the piece to convert it to a pendant.
